Douglas Adams (56if)

Used to listen to Hitchhikers Guide on Valley Public Radio either before or after the Star Wars radio show back whenever that was...81? Then, of course, I got the books. Then the TV show. Then more books. Then the movie - OK, I haven't actually seen the whole movie yet, but Zooey Deschanel's in it, so it can't be all bad.
So, happy birthday Mr Adams.

And now, a couple of quotes:
A learning experience is one of those things that say, 'You know that thing you just did? Don't do that.'

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they go by.

There is a theory which states that if anybody ever discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

In the beginning the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

It is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it... anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.
